Sierra Hotel A-26 Sponsor Group Purpose:

    Purpose:
To show how airpower contributed to protecting freedom in the world (1939-1945).

              A. To meet Commemorative Air Force goals:

by all military services of the U.S.A. during World War II.
             2. To provide museum buildings for the permanent protection and display of these aircraft as
a tribute to the thousands of men and women who built, serviced and flew them.
             3. To perpetuate in the memory and in the hearts of all Americans the spirit in which these great
planes were flown in the defense of our nation.
             4. To establish an organization having the dedication, enthusiasm and esprit de-corps necessary
to operate, maintain and preserve these aircraft as a symbol of our American military aviation
             heritage.

         B. To meet CAF Sierra Hotel A-26 Support Group local objectives:
             1. To educate all, and especially young, Oklahomans about Oklahoma aviation during the
                 World War II era.

organization already owns, as a part of living history (history one can see, hear and feel).
             3. To build and maintain an interpretive center to house the educational facilities and the aircraft.
             4. To To display uniforms, equipment and other materials necessary to establish a feeling for the
World War II era with our audiences (this part of the program would  also include the CAF
"footlocker" program modules so that our program could be mobile and  taken to schools and
