If you would like to attend a meeting of the CAF Oklahoma Wing.....
The meeting place is on the Wiley Post Airport, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
We meet in our Wing Headquarters Hangar 201. Since this is a secure area
you will need to make arrangements ahead of time so someone can meet you
at the access gate and escort you to and from the hangar.
General Meetings are regularly
scheduled for the second Saturday of each month at 1030 hours.
Work Parties are every Tuesday,
Thursday and Saturday, from 1000 - 1700 hours.Wiley Post
Airport is located in northwest Oklahoma City in the suburb of Bethany. It
is borderer by NW 78th St on the north; NW 50th St on the south; Council
Road on the west and Rockwell on the east.
Entry to the CAF facilities is from Rockwell. Proceeding north on
Rockwell from NW 50th you will turn left (west) at the light on NW 63rd
and Rockwell. If proceeding south on Rockwell from NW 78th St you would
turn right (west) at the light at NW 63rd and Rockwell.
A short distance (approx 200 ft) west of this traffic light and on your
left (south side of the street) there is an entry control gate activated
by a keypad using a 4-digit code. It is here that you must be let onto the
airport.
Our hangar facilities are a very short distance inside this gate.
At this location we enjoy a comfortable area that houses our PT-19
Cornell, a small but complete repair facility, secure sheltered
parking for our mobile PX and van plus a clubhouse/meeting facility.
Our normal meeting date is the second Saturday of each
month commencing at 1030 hours.
The only exception to this schedule would
be an incident of major proportions such as an OU/Texas, OSU/Texas or
OU/OSU football game.
Any change in the schedule will be announced in the Wing newsletter
well in advance of the event.
