On June 6, 2009, the 65th anniversary of D-Day, we did a
combat jump from our C-53D D-Day Doll in an air show at Gillespie Field,
El Cajon, CA. It was so realistic many were unashamed by the tears that
came to their eyes. Even the Jumpers were clearing drops from their eyes
as we told the crowd about the young men that darkened the sky over
Normandy on that day. |
